I can tell you it’s an M car just by looking at that, what is it?

1997 M3 auto sedan, with 105k miles, looks in really good shape. For sale at a dealer for $1,500. I have to imagine either it's a dinged title or a misprint.

$1500? At a dealership too? It must be literally on fire at the time of posting.

R Title. Thing has been all over the country. But if you know what you are looking at it’s worth a look. It was declared a total loss in 2011, so the damage could have been anything from a light hit to a theft as it’s value was low. The way I get my Carfax reports I can’t show the report itself. It also shows an accident report in 2014 with no airbags deployed.

Again, if you know cars a little it might be a good buy at the money, but expect for it to need a few things and it never be worth much. But if it’s me and I’d look at it at least. Could be a nice car with a rough run. You won’t lose much if it’s nice as it’ll always bring what you paid....there must be a reason it’s been kept on the road.

you sure that’s not $1500 down? Site looks like a buy here/pay here so I imagine that’s what they have in to it and are asking $5-6k.

Thanks Monkey. I figured it had to be declared a loss at some point. Honestly, I’ve got a very nicely running and slightly tuned E34 535i, and an E36 M3 is a better car but it’s also fairly similar, little smaller, a bit more powerful, but having them both in my driveway would not be worth it.

I still think it’s a good candidate for a flip.

Seriously. Even for a rebuilt it's priced low.

Maybe, the craigslist ad just says $1500 https://salem.craigslist.org/ctd/5668600701…

if it checked out I’d buy it for that....like I said, it’ll always be worth that. Hell, parting it would net you a profit. I think it’s a bait and switch, $1500 down. Good luck, hope it’s nice and follows you home.
